The Fall of The Rebel Fairy, 2021
11st 50x70cm inkjetprint, golden dust paper
The Fall of The Rebel Fairy is an unintentional double exposure that combines the magical world of a fairy and portraits of men from the 70s. Linnéa Cramer was documenting her sculptural work, the fairy wings, in the studio with an old film roll. Chance played its role and the film was already exposed to light, but years earlier, the result became surprisingly well suited.
"The wet film is dripping and dangling in the drying cabinet, but it’s not 36 pictures that I’ve hoped for, it’s twice as many. Intruders abound as double exposures on top of my self portraits. Photographs of men from a distant time is watching the lightly dressed fairy."
